The Times-Sun, serving the West Newton area since 1878, became a Laurel Group Newspaper with the purchase of the newspaper and commercial printing plant that was located in West Newton, Pennsylvania. The news and sales office remained in West Newton and the printing operation was moved to the central printing plant in Scottdale.
